CorreosChile (Chile Post)
Correos de Chile, also known as CorreosChile, is a public and autonomous postal service, money order provider, and national/international courier business in Chile. It operates as the Universal Postal Service, meeting all postal obligations. The history of Correos de Chile dates back to 1747 when the first postal service was established during the Captaincy General of Chile. In 1981, DFL No. 10 dissolved the previous state-owned enterprise called Servicio de Correos y Telegrafos, separating the postal and telex services. As a result, Telex-Chile was founded, but it later ceased to exist as a service with the advent of the Internet. Correos de Chile is currently under the Ministry of Transport and Communications administrative jurisdiction.
